The concept of wellness is to be self centered. I realize that sounds like such a bad thing. However, wellness is about being selfish in all the right ways in order to obtain and remain fit, healthy, happy and centered. Only by filling our cups first, can we fill the cups of others. A wise man once told me that, it’s not my saying, I am not that wise, but I think it specifically speaks to the need for wellness. So without further ado…
September has been officially declared National Yoga Month by the powers that be. As The Well-Heeled Guru, I have decided to write some posts about my experiences as I fit a yoga practice into my busy lifestyle, I could write a post with the usual suspects about why I practices yoga, because all those benefits of stretch, flexibility, mindfulness showed up for me too. However, my why’s and how’s are simple, honest experiences, feeling and results that continually inspires me to share my deep interest and passion in yoga.
Peace does have a place in the world. We just have to prepare for what it feels, looks and sounds like. Peace that is exciting, engaging and enveloping will open up the concept to many more people. Peace is the state where we begin our journey with calm and end with an energy that magnifies our wildest dreams.
